Grief and Loss Group
Sometimes it can be very difficult to deal with the loss of a loved one. Join others who have also experienced similar losses in a support group. The group will consist of educational information and skills so that you will be able to integrate the loss into your life; there will also be a time to share your personal struggles and to get support. This is a closed group so you will get to know and trust the other members. It will meet for 10 weeks and will be located in the Minneapolis Uptown area. Fee for service accepted. GLBT Grief and Loss Support Group
Many times, gay. Lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals so not feel understood and/or welcomed into straight grief support groups. A new group will be forming soon to help you deal with your personal loss(es) in a supportive and affirming environment. . The group will consist of educational information and skills so that you will be able to integrate the loss into your life; there will also be a time to share your personal struggles and to get support. Lesbian Survivors of Sexual Abuse Therapy Group

A new therapy group consisting of women who identify as lesbian and who have survived sexual abuse is starting soon. This is a closed therapy group so you will get to know and trust the other group members. Connie Studer, M.A., LMFT, is skilled at trauma resolution and will help members work through past trauma in a safe and supportive environment.

An individual intake session is required to make sure the group is a good fit for you. A minimum of 4 members will be needed to begin the group; there will be no more than 6 group members.

This group will be starting on October 3rd, Saturday, and will meet from 11:00-1:00 each Saturday.  The charge for the group is $40 each week.
